Inground Hot Tubs Installation for Spa France

Discount Hot Tub Sales in Essex UK & Europe

In-ground Hot Tub Spas are delivered with a structure (wooden framework with metallic corners) that supports the spa around the edges and facilitates its installation.
This configuration, with the spa pack mounting plate attached to the spa support frame, allows the spa pack to be fitted directly to the spa.

The spa should rest on a perfectly flat, stable surface.
Make sure that the surface will be able to support the total weight of the spa.

Leave a space of at least 80 cm around the entire periphery of the spa to facilitate access for maintenance.
Set the spa down such that the bottom of the shell and the peripheral support structure are in contact with the ground.

Frequently asked questions for Spa France Hot Tubs

1 SHELL

1.1 - Will the spa shell change shape?
The spa shell is modelled from an acrylic sheet unaltered by changes in temperature so tha itt keeps its shape after thermoforming.

1.2 - Will the finish become tarnished or change colour?
The acrylic sheet is dyed in the mass, the colours are stable and unaltered by exposure to UV light.

1.3 - The quarite finish is attractive, but can bacteria lodge in the small crevices?
Once the spa is treated correctly (cleaned, physical and chemical water treatment), bacteria will not be able to grow on this type of finish. Acrylic is a non-porous material.

1.4 - Is marble susceptible to scratching?
Acrylic offers the advantage of being easily repolished to remove scratches (if the scratch is too deep, liquid acrylic can be used as a filler)

2 / SURROUND

2.1 - Is the wood susceptible to rotting?
The surround is made of 100% solid RED CEDAR, a wood known for its ability to withstand exposure to water and humidity.

2.2 - Can the wood be tarnished or change colour?
The wood is homogenous and free of knots, it will change colour over time, but evenly, and if left untreated will have a natural look. The other solution is to protect the wood with a clear varnish that we can supply.

2.3 - Can I repaint the wood?
No problem, this type of wood is compatible with all types of finish (paint, varnish, etc.)

2.4 - Does the synthetic, wood look surround really withstand all aggresions?
The synthetic surround is made of a polymer, and all polymers age well.

3 / JETS

3.1 - Your competitor has offered me the same model but with 120 jets
It is true that it is possible to add more jets, but it is much more important to ensure that the jets are in the right place. As you know, each jet has a specific function. The size, shape and position of the jet determines the type of massage procured, quantity does not always means quality.

3.2 - 35 jets: Is that enough for a quality massage?
35 jets is plenty provided that they are correctly positioned and of good quality.

3.3 - Is it possible to adjust the power of the jets?
The sensation of change in massage power is procured by varying the amount of air forced through the jet. By adjusting the amount of air, you can modulate the power of the massage.

3.4 - I have pain in my neck (or elsewhere), will the jets massage me precisely where the pain is?
Each of our spas is ergonomically designed to work on every part of the body. Whether you are seated on a bench, a lounger or in a bucket seat, you will receive a massage adapted and targeted to each part of your body.

3.5 - Does a sequential massage provide any real benefit?
A massage targeting every point of your body simultaneously for the duration of the time spent in spa, may become uncomfortable. Choosing a programme that favours a specific zone is more relaxing and efficient.

3.6 - Is it possible to swap out the jets?
With our spas, it is entirely possible.

4 /  FILTRATION

4.1 - Is it dangerous for my child to place a hand in the skimmer?
No, because our skimmer is fitted with a basket that makes it safe to place a hand inside (several anti-vortex holes).

4.2 - Do the pumps make a lot of noise?
Other than the fact that our pumps are selected on the basis of their noiselessness; they are mounted on cylinder blocks that absorb vibrations. In addition, their installation in a closed location further diminishes the noise heard.

4.3 - Is filtration noisy?
Given the pumps that we use, the noise level from filtration is very low.

4.4 - Can filtration be operated continuously?
There is no technical reason why not, but this would not serve any real purpose. An efficient filtration programme over a set period is more beneficial. Our spas are fitted with equipment to optimise their use (spa pack, programming, etc.).

5 / TECHNICAL ISSUES

5.1 - Is it enough to use a single massage pump?
For the massage of up to three people, one pump is sufficient. In fact, the quality and power of the pump is more important than the number of pumps.

5.2 - Is the control pad complicated?
There is a digital display and a maximum of 3 on/off commands (pump, blower and underwater lights) and 2 control buttons. Comprehensive instructions detailing their use are provided.

5.3 - How do I know if the ozonator is on?
The ozonator starts up when filtration switches on (ozone indicator on the control pad)

6 / WATER QUALITY

6.1 - Does a spa require daily maintenance
Just like your car, your spa needs some upkeep. After each use, clean the water line and add water treatment products.

6.2 - Does the treatment of hot water entail a high cost in terms of purchasing chemicals?
Our spa packs are finely calibrated to physically treat the water. This means that less chemicals are required.

6.3 - If the spa is fitted with an ozonator, must I still treat the water?
Ozone is an excellent disinfectant but an additional product (active oxygen) is necessary. Our ozonator reduces the amount of product needed by 30 %.

6.4 - If I treat my water correctly, do I need to change it once a year?
Spa water is subjected to heating and a high occupation density (2, 3 or even 5 people per m3 and a half of water). With correct treatment, the water need only be changed once every 3 or 4 months.

7 / HEATING

7.1 - If I heat the spa continuously to 37°, will this cost a lot?
You are heating a small volume of water (1 to 1m3 ½). Cover the spa at night. In fact, a lot of energy is required heat the spa by a significant amount, not by a few degrees.

7.2 - 37° is not enough for my wife, can i programme it for 40°?
The spa is a place for relaxing and well-being, but also for promoting health. 37° is our body temperature; remaining in water that is too hot for an extended period of time is not good for the skin or for blood circulation.

7.3 - To heat the spa more quickly, can I add less water?
The water level in the spa must be maintained at the recommended level so that filtration can work correctly (skimmer suction). Furthermore, maintenance of the temperature is not dependant of the water level. Whether you are heating 1 litre or 1m3, the time to reach the temperature set point will differ, but once attained the energy required to maintain the temperature will depend on the correct maintenance of your spa.

7.4 - In winter, if the temperature drops below 0°, will the water freeze?
If the spa is installed indoors, no problem; if it is installed outside, there are two solutions:
-1.You are not using the spa, winterize the spa (empty the shell, the pipes and the equipment)
-2.You will continue to use the spa, programme filtration periods to coincide with the times that the water is most likely to freeze so that the water in the spa is not static. Alternatively maintain the water at the set point.

7.5 - Can the spa be emptied in winter?
The spa may be winterized: empty the shell, pipes and equipment.

8 / INSULATION

8.1 - If the pipes are mobile, there will be leaks! (no rigid insulation)
Our pipes are fixed by automobile type clamps, bonding being a source of leaks. Our pipes are mobile for maintenance purposes. In fact, before any intervention for a leak on pipes buried under a layer of insulating foam, everything has to be broken apart.

8.2 - If my spa is not totally insulated, will this cost me a fortune in heating?
This is why we insulate the spas in three ways. The first is an aluminium coated anti-bacterial felt (Thermal effect) attached to the inside of the spa support structure, the second is the air trapped between the shell and this insulating sheet, the third is the cover.

8.3 - My spa is insulated, this is all well and good, but can animals get in?
The wooden surround is mounted on a support frame that forms a continuous barrier around the periphery, so there is little risk of penetration by pests.

8.4 - If I decide to build in my spa, do I still need to insulate it?
Even built in, your spa will experience heat loss due to exchanges with the ground so it will need to be insulated.

9 / SEAT ERGONOMICS

9.1 - Are the spas customised for our morphology?
The fact that you are buoyed up by the water means that the seats do not need to follow the exact lines of your body. Furthermore, people of all shapes and sizes will use the same seats in the spa. Consequently, irrespective of your size or body weight you will feel really good.

9.2 - Are the cushions merely decorative?
No, they also improve comfort.

9.3 - All spas look the same, are the seats and loungers the same?
The ergonomic design differs quite a bit from one to the other, what matters is the treatment of the various massage zones.

9.4 - Do the nozzles press into your back?
Nozzles are flush with the shell. Those that are not may be slightly uncomfortable if you try the spa with no water, but buoyed up by water, you won't feel them any more.

10 / TRUST

10.1 - Can I see a spa in operation?
It is very important that you see our spas in operation, this is why you are invited to one or our showrooms (see the Contacts link in the upper right-hand side of the screen). Several models will be on show filled with water and in operation for you to try.

11 / SAFETY

11.1 - If the children are often home alone?
You will need to secure access to the spa (closed room, cover locked with a key) and teach the children how to use the spa.

11.2 - Water and electricity sometimes don't mix very well
The spa installation will need to be protected by a 30mA breaker at the head of the line.

11.3 - How would I know if it would be dangerous for me to get into my spa?
What danger? When you get into your car and drive, you take all measures necessary to ensure your own safety. Your spa is no different, your attitude regarding the use of your spa is very important. Never use an electronic device in the spa, tell some-one if you are going to use the spa, do not fiddle with the spa pack while sitting in the spa… Security is always synonymous with common sense.
