Swimming Pool Heat Pumps
Why choose a Swiming Pool / Pond heat pump from discount Leisure?
Simply because it's inexpensive - to buy - to run - to install. Realistically, in this counrty, all swimming pools whether above or inground, need heating to obtain the maximum use from the summer season. Having a pool in your garden may be aesthetically pleasing to the eye but unless the swimming pool feels warm and inviting, the swimming pool will not be used to its full potential. By investing in a Heat Pump, this can change! Generally, the main heating systems available for swimming pools are Gas (LPG or Propane), Electric or Oil heaters. Some of these heaters can be beneficial from a cost point of view but tend to loose their appeal when it comes to installation costs. What the other heating systems cannot offer you is both the heat effiency and low running cost!
How does it work?
Heat pumps are a super efficient way to heat the swimming pool. It makes full use of the advanced refridgeration technology to capture the heat in the outside air and transfer it to the pool water.
Environmental refrigerant gas absorbs and transfers the heat energy through the refrigeration circulation system. The fan circulates air through the outer Evaporator Air Coil that acts as a heat collector. The liquid refrigerant in the air coil absorbs the availible heat in the air transforming it to a gas. The refrigerant gas is then pumped by the Compressor. When this warmed gas is compressed, it intensifies or concentrates the heat. This intensely hot gas is then pumped into the Heat Exchanger Condenser where the actual heat exchange takes place. As the pool water passes through the Heat Exchanger, the hot gas gives up its heat to the cooler pool water. The refrigerant returns to a liquid state and is pumped through the Expansion Valve and then into the Evaporator Air Coil to start the process over again.
The Elecro Brand Swimming Pool Heat Pumps Are The UK Brand Leader And Have Three Different Season Choices So You Will Always Find A Elecro Heat Pump To Suit Your Needs.

Swimming Pool Heat Pumps are a super efficient way of heating a swimming pool. Heat pumps make full use of the advanced refrigeration technology to capture the heat present in the outside air and transfer it to the swimming pool water.
Environmental refrigerant gas absorbs and transfers the heat energy through a refrigerant circulation system. The refrigerant in the Swimming Pool Heat Pump circulation system consists of a coil filled with a refrigerant liquid that absorbs heat and transforms it into a gas, the excess is discharged off as cool air. This refrigerant gas is then forced through a compressor in the Heat Pump which, when condensed, intensifies the heat. This heated gas then passes through a heat exchanger where the heat from the gas is transferred to the pool water. The refrigerant in the Swimming Pool Heat Pump then turns back to a liquid state and passes back through the system.
What are the Swimming pool heat pump Cost Benefits?
Pool Heat Pumps are amazingly efficient with running costs that are around 20% to 25% cheaper than most alternative options such as electric heaters, gas heaters or oil heaters. Swimming Pool Heat Pumps will save you thousands of pounds.
The Swimming pool heat pumps are measured by the Coefficient of performance (COP). The COP of a swimming pool heat pump ranges from 4.1 - 5 units, which means for every unit of electricity that you put into run the heat pump, you get 4.1 - 5 units of heat out!1kW of electrical energy will give you 4.2 to 5kW of heat from a Swimming Pool Heat Pump.
