How Does Swimming Pool Inground Pool Solar Heating Work?

A correctly sized and installed Inground Pool Solar Heating system can raise pool temperatures by up to 12?C during the Summer. You should only circulate water through the SmartPool Inground Pool solar collector when the sun is shining. When the weather is rainy or cloudy the Pool solar System will not be efficient. The Solar Heating Panels will start heating your in-ground pool as soon as the sun starts shining again.

Do I need a Pool Pump?

If your swimming pool pump is in good working condition, there shouldn't be any problem using your existing pump of ½ HP or above. A 1 HP pump will handle installations up to 30 feet away from the pump & filter and 12ft high. If the Solar collectors are cool to touch when the water is passing through them on a warm sunny day, showing the transfer of heat to the swimming pool water, you are getting sufficient flow.

Where Can Solar Panels be Installed?

Install the Inground Pool Solar Heating Panels anywhere you get at least 7 hours of full sun during the day. The longer the Solar Panels are in full sun, the greater the heat gain will be.
